‘Rachael & Vilray‘ has been a musical act ever since Rachael saw me play a very short set of covers and said she wanted in. Her voice is singular, agile, beautiful, and, as I found when we started performing original music, the most rewarding instrument to write for. In the seven years since we began, our configuration has ranged from an intimate duo, to the 9-piece formation you hear on six of these tracks. No matter the set-up on stage, my friend Rachael and I sing right to each other, tell stories about how the songs came to be, and relate them to the many old love songs we love to love.

Expertly crafted songs and sublime musicianship are the backbone of Nashville-based band The Brook & The Bluff. Originally from Birmingham, AL, the band’s name is derived from the pockets of Birmingham where they grew up—Bluff Park for frontman Joseph Settine, and Mountain Brook for drummer John Canada, keyboardist Kevin Canada, and guitarist Alec Bolton.

Outdoor activities are weather dependent. Snowshoes may transition to hikes with ice grips depending on snow and trail conditions.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. All Tours, Classes, Demos, and Activities require a reservation by 6pm the prior day unless stated otherwise. Activities canceled within 24 hours of their schedule time are subject to a 50% fee.

Hidden around our community this winter are 8 small, shy gnomes waiting to be found. Ask the Front Desk for a clue sheet and search out our gnome friends during your stay - find all 8 and win a complimentary gnome cookie from The Pantry!
Spring Spruce Loop Hike
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
This 1-2 mile on property tour showcases some Spruce Peak’s natural beauty by use of exploring our community pathway trail network.
Snowshoes or Ice Grippers will be provided depending on trail conditions.
