For all hikes your guide will have bug spray, sunscreen, and a first aid kit to share. Included in the price is hiking poles. Guests must bring their own water, proper shoes, and layers. Cameras optional, but highly recommended.
Spruce Loop Hike
- Offered Daily at 10:00am
- Take a tour of our community This 1 – 2 mile tour begins near The Spa and spans around the Spruce Peak Community
- Easy Hike. All ages welcome. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- $20/person (Complimentary on Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Boardwalk Hike:
- Offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 12:00pm
- Explore a small portion of the Long trail at the entrance of Smugglers Notch and the Barnes camp Visitor’s Center.
- Intermediate Hike. All ages welcome. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- $30/person | 1.5 Hours
Sterling Swim & Hike:
- Offered Mondays & Saturdays at 12:00pm
- Pack or order a picnic lunch for the top, where you can dine on the banks of pristine Sterling Pond, the highest alpine pool in Vermont, situated in a valley between three mountains: Madonna, Sterling, and Spruce Peak.
- Lunch can be ordered 24hours in advance for an additional fee, or bring your own.
- Intermediate to Advanced hike. All ages welcome. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- 60/person | 4 hours
Spruce Moose is on the Loose! Storybook Hike
- Offered Thursdays at 4:00pm
- Join us for a storytime hike through the Spruce Loop
- Easy Hike. All ages welcome. Participants under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- $20/person | 50 minutes

Barnes Camp Boardwalk
This wheel-chair accessible, wooden boadwalk weaves through beaver-built swamps and ponds, complete with educational panels, towars a breathtaking view of Smuggler's Notch
Rated Easy - Wheelchair Accessible 600ft
The Stowe Rec Path
Perfect for both cycling and casual walks, this paved path criss-crosses the town of Stowe allowing for a self-guided tour of such popular spots as Idletyme Brewing and Stowe Cider.
Rated Easy - 5.3miles total
Bingham Falls
Wind through the rocky forest to a pristine 40-foot cascading waterfall with deep gorges - a perfect destination for warm summer days.
Rated Moderate - 0.5miles
Sterling Pond
A beautiful option for a half-day hike, this well-maintained section of the famous Long Trail takes you past a beautiful mountain pond and numerous scenic photo spots.
Rated Moderate - Loops range from 2 to 3.4miles - Currently Closed for Mud Season
Hellbrook Trail
The most direct, steepest, and difficult trail to the summit of Mt. Mansfield, Hellbrook is often thought as the most challenging hiking trail in the state of Vermont.
Rated Extremely Difficult - 2 miles to summit with elevation gail of 2,600ft
