Fall Sterling Pond Hike
Similar to our Spruce Peak Hike, the Sterling Pond trails follow our ski trails straight up the side of Spruce Peak. Connecting with the Long Trail, the trek to Sterling follows on the ridgeline to the Vermont highest Alpine pond.
This 6-mile hike will have you ascending the rocky slopes with an elevation gain of roughly 2000ft! And the addition of the serene pond will elevate your hiking experience in the Vermont natural areas. Appreciate the wonderful views of Stowe and unique scenes of the Alpine Pond here at Spruce.
Rated Advanced. Some hiking experience necessary. Must be able to hike on varying terrain with many ascents and descents. All ages welcome, but recommended for ages 12 and up. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
