The Lodge, a Destination Hotel Adds Neighboring Mountain Entities to Resort Experience

Stowe Mountain Club, Stowe Country Club and Spruce Peak Village Restaurants join the family

Stowe, VT. (May 1, 2017) — The Lodge, A Destination Hotel will expand its management of resort amenities to include the Stowe Mountain Club, Stowe Country Club and the Spruce Peak Village Restaurants, following the anticipated acquisition of Stowe Mountain Resort’s ski and adventure operations by Vail Resorts

“We are excited to announce the addition of some of the finest resort features on site to The Lodge’s offerings, further enhancing the guest experience for meetings and conventions as well as leisure travelers to Stowe, “ said Mark Jennings, SVP Operations – East, Two Roads Hospitality. “This expansion in management will provide our guests with 36-holes of the best golf in Vermont in addition to a well-rounded culinary experience from coffee and cocktails to artisanal creations. ”

As a result of the recent management transition, owners and guests of the The Lodge will experience a seamless integration of activities and amenities from the time of booking, which will include the following:

Stowe Mountain Club

The Bob Cupp-designed Stowe Mountain Club presents golfers with the unique challenges of a mountain course. Meandering along the slopes of Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak, the private Stowe Mountain Club reaches an elevation of more than 1,800 feet, offering golfers the opportunity to observe the incredible views and a dynamic play at every hole. In addition to Stowe Mountain Club members, guests of The Lodge have exclusive access to this immaculate private golf course.  Set at the foot of the Stowe Mountain Club, the architecturally stunning Cottage restaurant features farm fresh produce, local and regional ingredients for a truly sophisticated, inspiring and fulfilling lunch. Indoor and outdoor dining are available on a breathtaking post and beam patio.

Stowe Country Club

Located just down the road from Stowe Mountain Club, the 18-hole Stowe Country Club golf course occupies what was once a turn-of-the-century dairy farm and has evolved into a splendid course highlighting beautiful undulating fairways and manicured greens. As a rewarding test of skill, the Stowe Country Club golf course offers 360-degree views of the mountains. Another historical element of Stowe Country Club is Kirkwood’s Pub, the restaurant dedicated to the course’s founding pro, Joe Kirkwood.  Kirkwood’s Pub offers fresh, creative interpretations of country club grill room fare. The casual lunch spot offers incredible views of the Stowe valley from the deck and patio.

Spruce Peak Village Restaurants

The Beanery features locally roasted coffees and espresso drinks crafted by passionate Baristas, as well as fresh pastries, smoothies, and café sandwiches. The Pantry is a small grocery store and deli showcasing an abundance of artisanal food products, gourmet ingredients, wine, and locally sourced meats and cheeses. The Skinny Pancake is a local chain restaurant serving  crepes and other locally inspired cuisine, as well as beer and wine during select seasonal periods.

The Lodge is part of the Destination Hotels collection, a brand under Two Roads Hospitality. For more information about The Lodge, visit www.destinationhotels.com/stowe-mountain-lodge.
