For three months we have been washing, spraying, sanitizing, covering, masking, and wiping. Our efforts are rewarded with the flattening of the curve, but our skin has paid a little bit a price with the two most hard hit areas being the face and hands.

Just a couple of minutes a day can make a marked difference in the appearance of your skin on these vulnerable areas.

First, the hands. These are the tools we use the most, but we have been stuffing them into gloves, and drying them out with hand sanitizer. They could be cracked, rough, and dehydrated. Before going to bed, don’t forget to wash your hands and moisturize With a heavy cream, something like Zents organic Shea butter cream. Twice a week, use a gentle polish with a mildly gritty exfoliant followed by Zents. Don’t be too rough! And, as always, in the day use sunscreen on the backs of hands to help prevent collagen and elastin breakdown and to keep skin tone even.

How many of us have dryer skin on our faces where the mask hits the cheeks? First and foremost, be gentle! A product line like our comfort zone remedy would be perfect to moisturize and heal any irritated skin. Think about exfoliating no more than twice a week, but be diligent about cleansing and moisturizing both morning and night. You’ll see the turnaround in a couple of days and should be back to normal in a week to 10 days.

Summer is finally here! Soon these areas as well as your whole body don’t forget sunscreen. We like a physical sunscreen with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in it. The Hydro Peptide brand’s Solar Defense which comes in a tinted SPF 30 or an untinted SPF 50.

We Are preparing our space awaiting your return, and can’t wait to see you again!

Dear Friends,

We hope that you and your families are safe and well during these challenging times.

Recently, the Governor of Vermont extended the 'Stay Home Stay Safe' order until May 15, 2020. Additionally, he pushed the opening date for hotels and vacation rental establishments to June 15, 2020. This means the closure date for the Lodge will be extended through June 14, 2020.

Here at Spruce Peak, we are embracing the challenge of these circumstances and hope very much to return to normal operations this summer. Next week, we will announce plans for our summer events, the golf season and more. There is a lot to look forward to and there will certainly be better days ahead.
